June 1, 2010 I published the last issue (at least for a while) of Girl Talk my teen girl magazine. Since this blog was originally designed for the purpose of publishing weekly devotions for the magazine and later the magazine itself I decided to create another blog that isn’t connected to Girl Talk.
I’ll probably still publish book reviews or other items here now and again but you’ll more often find me at Trusting Him with Today. I hope you’ll stop by

What would you say?
I was wondering...
If you were able to go back in time
and talk to yourself
as you graduate from high school,
what would you say?
What advice would you give,
the young, excited, optimistic
you about the future?
-Hoping to use your answers in the last issue of my teen girl magazine.-

Looking back and I could go back ...I would tell myself, to always stay close to God - no matter what happens in life. He is the only constant - everything else is shifting sand. I have turned away from Him for a time, but He never let go of me :)
Love & peace,
<>< Iris
I would tell meself, "You have a God-given purpose that He created specifically for you which will impact the world today for His Kingdom. Draw close to God and love Him above all else, and He will ensure your victory."
Thanks for ALWAYS be a blessing!
I would have put my trust and faith in my Lord Jesus then instead of waiting until I was old. God bless, Lloyd
I would most surely say that I need a deeper surrender. I thank God for His patience with my restless heart. I have been a Christian almost my entire life, but it took me a while to realize the fullness of His presence in my life.
You have a great blog! We all need girl talk!
Blessings, friend!
Andrea
I would say, "Tell everyone you see about Jesus Christ for there will come a season of your life; the season of motherhood; when He will ask you to focus on discipling and teaching your children.
Opportunities to share the message of salvation won't be as plentiful during this season of home nurture.
Right now you are free! Use your freedom and all the many interactions you have with others on a daily basis to share the Gospel!"
A lot!!!! :O)
If I were to go back and advise the teen-aged me, I would say, to place your trust in God. Know that His plan is the best for your life, even if you don't understand it. Celebrate the blessings He gives, celebrate the victories won through Him and surrender your everything to Him. Remember to praise Him for who He is and love Him above all else.
I would say, "Trust in the LORD fully. Know JESUS not just as your Savior but as your LORD because that will keep you from engaging in things that are not of HIS will for your life. It will keep you from believing the lies of satan. Know that GOD the Father loves you and will never violate or hurt you so trust HIM not just as your GOD but as your Abba Father. Now, Lisa, go forth with courage and love and serve the LORD and don't look back at the violations and pains endured in your childhood and teens. It's a new day and GOD's Hand is upon your life so live it and live it abundantly in Jesus Name!"
That's just a portion of what I'd tell myself if I could go back but I certainly walk in those things now by HIS grace.
I pray that all is well with you sister. Blessings!!!
I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I have yours. Very interesting.
I am now a follower.
God Bless, Bob
