June 1, 2010 I published the last issue (at least for a while) of Girl Talk my teen girl magazine. Since this blog was originally designed for the purpose of publishing weekly devotions for the magazine and later the magazine itself I decided to create another blog that isn’t connected to Girl Talk.

I’ll probably still publish book reviews or other items here now and again but you’ll more often find me at Trusting Him with Today. I hope you’ll stop by

Touched by an Angel

Touched by an angel,
What does it mean?
It’s when a life is touched
So it’s no longer the same

It’s when hope is offered
Where it seems there is none
Joy and happiness is offered
Where depression is found

It’s when the lonely is befriended
And showed the way
To the friend of all friends,
The Lord Jesus Christ

Touched by an angel
Has it been said of you?
That you reached out a hand,
And helped to turn a life around?

I wrote this poem years ago when the show Touched by an Angel was on television. Sometimes we think we have to do big deeds to make a difference in someone’s life. However, there are times when a simple hug, smile, listening ear or word of encouragement (spoken or written) can totally change someone’s day in a positive way.

Have you been someone's angel today?

Hi Bernadine,
First of all thank you for your comment on laced with grace. I'm glad you found things on my list that you could do. I LOVED your poem. I used to watch that TV show too. But one thing that they always missed was ...Jesus. But I loved your encourgement that you offered today in this post. I so agree ...it doesn't have to be a big thing. How many people only get a hug once a week in church? Thank you for your wonderful outlook.
Hugs,
Debbie

Very good poem! You are right, sometimes the little things are an angelic touch. For me, it can be simple words of encouragement. Thanks for the thoughts.

Your poems are always beautiful, Bernadine. You should really put them together in a book :)

You are right, sometimes it just takes a little gesture to make someone feel loved...
