Tears streaming down their faces they walked to the altar. The call was made; Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation (2 Cor 6:2 NLT)… the choice is yours. What choice will you make?
With joy in my heart and a prayer of thanksgiving on my lips I saw several young ladies choose Christ. At that moment there was no thought of friends, image or status. There was simply a longing for the fulfillment that only a relationship with Christ can bring.
There at that altar began a new relationship with Jesus Christ.
As a former Christian teen, I know that at some point the excitement and passion that came with that new found faith will begin to fade and the thought will come to mind, “So I’m a Christian…now what?”
“How do I keep this excitement?”
“How do I grow spiritually?”
“What does God expect of me?”
Over the next few weekly blog posts I’ll be exploring this topic.
June 1, 2010 I published the last issue (at least for a while) of Girl Talk my teen girl magazine. Since this blog was originally designed for the purpose of publishing weekly devotions for the magazine and later the magazine itself I decided to create another blog that isn’t connected to Girl Talk.
I’ll probably still publish book reviews or other items here now and again but you’ll more often find me at Trusting Him with Today. I hope you’ll stop by

Dreamer
I have a dream inside of me
A hope for tomorrow and what it can be
A longing to do what impossible seems
A desire to have the unreachable dream
So I’ll reach for the stars
With all of my might
I’ll go after my dream with
Persistence until…
My dream becomes real in my life
I won’t let my dream die
Inspired by a message my mother preached on Joseph the Dreamer
What do you want to accomplish in this year? I challenge you to go after it with all of your heart. If God has given you a dream He has also given you the ability to accomplish it. Don't let your dream die!

What I Believe - Reasons for K.I.R Girl Talk
I believe that all young ladies have the potential to be women of impeccable character and, integrity and also positive contributors to their society.
I believe that positive, female role models are an important part of a young lady’s life.
I believe that if we show young ladies that we love them faults and all it will be easier to introduce them to Christ.
I believe that society should place more emphasis on the positive things young ladies are involved with instead of the negative.
I believe that even though a young lady may have made mistakes it’s never too late for her to start over and make positive choices.
I believe that we, as a society can inspire young ladies to become women of excellence by keeping it real, living transparent lives before them, admitting that we all make mistakes, encouraging them to learn from their mistakes and most importantly, introducing them to Jesus Christ.
I wrote these statements over eight years ago when I first started Girl Talk magazine. I thought I'd share them with you. I still believe all of them and they remain the main reasons why I continue to publish Girl Talk magazine.

2009 IS HERE!!!
My wish for you this New Year
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
